Visiting Maine July 10-12, 2015

Pat and I met up at the Bangor, Maine airport on Friday afternoon from different directions of the U.S.-he had been at the Coty plant in NC all week and I had been visiting our friends, Bob and Joan in McKinney, TX. We drove to Camden and spent two nights at Abigail's Inn, a pretty B&B on the Main Street leading into town. Camden was more peaceful than Bar Harbor and just as scenic. Pat enjoyed his fresh oysters so much at dinner on the first night that we spent all day Saturday driving to their point of origin in order to bring some back home to NB!

A cute oyster-shucking apron:

Ain't this the truth! I need one of these for our new cottage!

Saturday market in Camden-great cheeses, lots of fresh veg, flowers and plants, even wool blankets imported from PEI!

Near the market:

Our big purchase for the boys to use at The Bluffs-a red wagon from the Amish Toy Company, which we had shipped to The Inn in Camden then brought it home with us:

A nice little getaway weekend by the sea for some good old Maine seafood and hospitality! We'll be back...

Location:Camden, Maine
