So we bought a cottage!!!

We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary this August 23rd in a week-long
trip to les lies de la Madeleine, in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. On the way, we spent the weekend in Charlottetown and visited Tom and Cynthia at their cottage between Tyne Valley and Alberton on the north shore of PEI along Conway Narrows. Before supper was ready, Tom insisted upon taking us 5 km down the road to look at a 14-year-old cottage for sale. A week later, having done all the pros and cons during our stay on The Maggies, we made an appointment with the real estate agent (a former Premier of the Island!), saw the inside and the ongoing renovations and submitted our offer! A few hours later it was a done deal, closing is set for November 15th. Below are pictures of the place, set on a one acre tract of land inbetween potato fields, two unoccupied lots and Conway Narrows, part of Malpeque Bay. On the other side of the tidal water are sand dunes and a narrow spit of beach, which goes for miles and miles! Heaven indeed!
