Antonio Gaudi is buried in the crypt of La Sagrada Familia:
After Church, we decided to visit MNAC (National Museum of Catalonian Art), not realizing that it was scheduled to close in an hour! We did have time to explore it's Romanesque art section, which contains many 11th and 12th century murals, wood-carvings and altar frontals. These were gathered from decaying rural churches in northern Catalonia early in the last century, and they now form one of Europe's greatest collections of Romanesque art.
The building itself is impressive, sitting on a hill overlooking Plaça d'Espanya. It is the Palau Nacional, built in the 1920's for World Exposition displays, and designed to be only a temporary structure...sort of like Expo '67!
Looking towards Tibidabo:
Hasta luego...
