After breakfast over The Times newspaper in The Promenade at the hotel, we headed to Buckingham Palace for a tour inside and through the Palace Gardens behind. Cost was £16.50 per person for a specific time. As it turns out, if you purchase your ticket on site, you can get it stamped upon leaving, which allows you entry again during the next year. Not so with our ticket purchased through the hotel...bummer...
As you cannot take pictures inside the Palace, these views are of the back and on the grounds. The awning area is an outdoor cafe in case you don't get an invitation to one of the Queen's summer garden parties!
From there we went to the Sunday Jazz Brunch at The Savoy Hotel upon the recommendation of my friend, Mandy, from the IWCB in Barcelona. What a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon...albeit a bit pricey in the end!

And the absolutely VERY best part of the whole day was a middle of the night call (2:30 am London time) from Jen in Montreal with the wonderful news, "Our baby is here!" Elliott Douglas Bourque Seamone was born in the Jewish General Hospital at 6:56 pm EST at a whopping 9 lbs 1 oz and 50 cm long! Yippee! We're now grandparents and very blessed!
More later...
