Taking the waters

We spent one night in this famous spa town on our way to Pat's GOLT meetings near Paris the week before Easter. We stayed in the Hôtel Le Pavillion d'Enghien and enjoyed a wonderful dinner in the Vichy Spa Hôtel Les Celestins. The wine of choice was from Bordeaux, Croquis de Boston, Margaux. The next day we walked along the Lac d'Allier to the fish ladder before enjoying some spa time at Les Celestins.

From Vichy, a 3 1/2 hour drive to Cernay-la-Ville where Par's meetings took place on an old Abbaye. Monday morning I took the local train into Paris then the Eurostar to Ashford, where my friend, Vicki, met me. I spent three days with her exploring more of Essex and Cambridge in the cold! It was great to catch up with her.
